FREE COMMUNITY BASED GROUP
Living Rationally, the group,
was founded in early 1992 out of a frustration with the
lack of adequate community resources available for people
seeking to live life more happily. The advent of Living
Rationally (LR) created a balance between academic theory
and the practical world. LR endeavors to provide state of
the art information, remain on the cutting edge of change,
and teach a philosophy of self-improvement, which makes
sense.
Living Rationally, the group,
is a free self-help group, which is open
to persons 18 years old and older. Meetings are on the first
and third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. We meet
to discuss the topics our members bring to the group's attention.
We begin each group as one large group where
we read our opening statement of philosophy, introduce ourselves,
and share any announcements. We then split into two separate
groups (if numbers allow). One group deals with excessive
behaviors (food, drugs, alcohol, etc.), which is the SMART
component of our group. (See the SMART link for more information
on this National Organization). The other group deals with
life issues; relationships, depression, anxiety, stress
- all the things that life can bring you.
You are invited to join us to see
if there is a fit for you with Living Rationally, the group.
